I like the food network. Yesterday morning while we were waiting for the kids to get up, we were watching some shows about holiday cooking….great episode! When that was over, Rachael Ray came on. Sorry to many folks reading this, but she just plain annoys me and I don’t watch her shows. Flipped over to the channel guide to see what else was on…nothing (with digital cable from Time Warner, you’d think something good would be on). So the wife said, lets at least see what’s she’s cooking. OK…
Menu?
Stuffed Steak w/ Prosciutto and Spinach
Sauteed Crimini (baby portabellas) Mushrooms
OK, this at least speaks my language.
Turns out this looked really good so made it last night…definitely recommended. Following are the links to get the recipes:

Couple variations I did:
- I used bacon instead of the Prosciutto. Fried up the bacon first, set it aside, and reserved a couple tablespoons of the bacon grease to sauté the onions, garlic and red bell pepper. Then I crumbled up the bacon when it said to add the prosciutto.
- Once the stuffing was done, I used the same pan to cook the mushrooms…created a great gravy to pour over the steak!
Let me know what you think.
So will I watch Rachael Ray again? Probably not unless there’s nothing else on!
